About Coburn Insurance...

For over 100 years, Coburn Insurance Brokers Ltd. has been a family business dedicated to its' clients and the insurance profession.

This philosophy was initiated by the company's founder H.H. Stovel. When he started in the insurance business in 1882, there was probably little thought that he was laying the foundation of what was to become a family tradition devoted to the insurance profession. Later, J.J. Cook and G.F. Cockburn took over the firm. G.F Cockburn operated the business in Mount Forest from 1927 to 1947, then his son Bill joined the company. Eventually, Bill's two sons entered the business; Jeff in 1978 and Scott in 1988.
